so no excuses. i said i was back, but really i wasn't.

i have been overcome by time deprivation. sleep deprivation. blog deprivation.

i am incredibly sorry for not getting back to all your replies. i will most definitely devote some time to catch up/visit and read all of your sites/blogs.

xmas this yr for me was a quiet one.

most my immediate family were overseas on vacation, so it was quite a non event.

nonetheless it was spent with the one i love and with great company.

kinda glad we didn't go all out this year, i think i've more than made up for my share of gluttony this year.

cannot complain.

i could however, really do with a vacation.

we're halfway there

Market loving & NZ treats.

To say it was a gorgeous day in Sydney today, would be an understatement.

I could not pass on the opportunity to go out to the markets to get my gozeleme fix and relish in the market atmosphere.

I forget at times how pretty this city is.

Sometimes, when you're so busy holed up indoors you almost forget what being outdoors feels like.

I have to say this though. What in the bloody hell is up with some of the prices being sold at the markets?!

Shit on a stick. I'm so used to the cheap thrills of my op-shop finds, that it boggles my mind to see 'second-hand' gear being sold for a ridiculous amount.

Ripped up tshirts, which uh i think anyone can do,was being sold for $30 and up. Damn.

I'm in the wrong business.

Nevertheless, amidst all the excessively priced goodies, I still managed to come away with some sweet finds. Mainly singlets/breezy tops (albeit, all predominantly grey)

Oh and I almost forgot, Happy halloween everyone!

I wish I was going to some halloween costume party, but alas, I am not. No time for play, when you have work. Boohoo.

To make up for our non-halloween night, the love and I picked up some treats from this fantastic candy store we love in glebe!

I can't say I've really got a sweet tooth, but I did manage to score some 'sweet' finds for my fave kiwi :)

So evil. So sick.

I wish I could say that I'd just come back from the most amazing vacation, or that I had been working on some top secret assignment which i would later reveal to you all, and that's why I have not been updating.

But the truth is, I've just been so tired. (who isnt, these days eh?)

There have been days where I have felt completely lazy and completely unmotivated to even turn on my laptop. It's seriously gone as far as me having to resort to using my phone to browse the worldwideweb. (Ah...thank goodness for modern technological advances! :)) My partner had actually begun to worry that I had broken my laptop, (Quelle, shock, horreur!).

Boring as it may sound, but Work, and being ill for a little while are probably the main culprits which have prevented me from updating this, as well as the fact that my social life at the moment = nada. haha. Ok I lie. It probably equates to 'tepid' on the scale of cold to ON FIRE! So that limits the amount of topics I can rave on about.

I can't complain. All the free time I've managed to conjure up has really consisted of time spent with my partner in crime (who made the edible, i mean delectable french toast and egg combo in the first pic above), homeware shopping, decorating, op-shopping (yay to more faux fur coat finds!), buying books, books, magazines and more books, reading, and basically just chilling out watching dvds and vegging out at our lovely abode.

The last 2 weekends have been lovely though. If only I had the common sense to document it on camera. ha.

Dinners, yum cha/chocolate lunches, wigs and skeleton pens! Oooh yeah.

Halloween is coming up, and although this holiday is typically associated with our North American counterparts, we Aussies (or should I say, discount stores Australia wide) have taken it on board with much gusto. Ok, so maybe that was a slight exaggeration :/

But I have seen people, I mean, little kids in the past go 'trick or treating' during halloween. Albeit wearing regular clothes, but nonetheless 'trick or treating' around the neighbourhood! (I'm pretty sure, that the trick part would have outweighed the treat part! Unfortunately :/)

So going back to skeleton pens. Don't you just love it?! (see above pics)

I'm pretty sure there'll be lots of time spent prodding and lighting our pens eyes away with these bad boys.

This lovely lady and her lovely dog have been through a hell of a lot this year.

I am always so amazed at the amount of strength she has (and I know she'll probably deny this and say it's not the case) but I think she is unbelievably tenacious, fearless and just generally amazing.

She defines awesomeness in every way!

I cannot wait for EVS shenanigans aye ;-P

Dust in the wind

Apocalypse now?

Sydney woke up in a haze of fiery red and orange today.

The Apocalypse? Armageddon? Dust storm?!

I seemingly fell asleep through it. I awoke to sms msgs and tv news reports warning me of the dust storm that gripped the city. I opened the blinds to find the haze had subsided, and felt a great sense of relief. It wasn't the end of the world.

Of course that thought soon dissipated when i discovered the shitload of dusty red residue left on my car. Fuck.

Car washes would be raking it in big time today!

Sorry I've been MIA the last couple of days. Have been feeling a little sickly lately. Work is nuts.

Am feeling more inspired and more motivated to do things around the house (such as reorganise my books) than to really go out anywhere.

The weekend was great though. Sydney weather is starting to warm up, much to my skin's disgust! :s

It was my PIC's (Parter in crime) bday yesterday. He's such an old bugger. T'was a lovely day. Not many photos to document though.

Lots of food and ice-cream. Hmm...guess that's also probably one of the other reasons why I'm not feeling too crash hot.

I know that myself and my dad have shared our ups and downs, but it doesnt deny the fact that he's my dad, and that no matter what, he always will be. (cheesy. i know)
